Lesson #16 – Facebook Marketing Mojo
What do Chris Hughes, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Mark Zuckerberg have in common? If you answered, “They’re all Harvard University grads” you’re incorrect. All attended Harvard, but only two of the four graduated. If, however, you answered, “They’re the co-founders of Facebook” then you get the prize (I’m not sure what it is, but you get it.)
Okay, that’s the end of your Facebook history lesson. It’s also probably the only thing about Facebook that will remain the same in a month – even a day from now.
But no matter how much Facebook changes, it’s currently one of the best, least-expensive ways you have to get the word out about your business. I talk about the how and why in Lesson 16 of the Guide to Marketing Mojo – Facebook Marketing.
Some of the topics I address include: why you want to consider using Facebook; the difference between personal profile pages, business profile pages, and groups; how to set up both a business and personal profile page (what to include and then how to invite people to your page); how to start or find a Group page; how to find your target audience on Facebook; why Facebook is good for Search Engine Optimization; how to advertise on Facebook, and how to integrate Facebook with other non-traditional marketing tools such as Twitter and your website in order to reach and communicate with a wider audience.
Just start the video below and learn how the same platform that brings you Mafia Wars, Farmville, Farkle, and Treasure Isle can become one of the best tools in your Mojo bag. (Oh – and if you doubt the savvy behind Facebook – don’t forget, Chris Hughes was the Director of Online Organizing for Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential Campaign.)
