Lesson #11 – Words That Sell!
Since putting my name on the Do-Not-Send list, I find we receive far less snail mail than before –fewer “asks” from organizations whose names I can hardly pronounce, and even fewer “Get your new credit card/Renew your warranty” solicitations. But I DO continue to receive newsletters from charities and businesses with which I currently have or had dealings in the past. And I even take the time to look through them, albeit briefly. The same holds true for e-newsletters.
As a small business owner, it’s important that you keep a good relationship with your existing and former clients and customers. Simply stated – it’s easier and less expensive to convince them to buy from you again than it is to bring in new customers. Which is one reason to consider writing and distributing your own company or business newsletter.
In this lesson video, you’ll discover why a newsletter (or e-newsletter) is an excellent and cost-effective way to promote your business; encourages repeat business by building relationships; and, is a communication tool that – if done correctly – can provide you with the type of feedback that can make a real difference to your bottom line. Learn the basics of what to include in a newsletter, how to build a useful list, avoid creating spam, and get your newsletter in front of a pre-qualified and willing audience.
